Max Morrow stars as six-year-old Jacob Two Two (called that because he repeats himself to be heard) who is knocked on the head and imagines he is taken prisoner. The prison is on an island that's concealed by smog, guarded by slime creatures and ruled by the dreaded Hooded Fang (Gary Busey). Mark McKinney (Kids in the Hall) and Miranda Richardson play Hooded Fang's underlings, and rapper Ice-T and actor Maury Chaykin make cameos. There are some big sets in this children's fantasy, and it's played with genuine gusto by the adult actors, but it still ends up being a bit flat, particularly in the supposed production numbers which look as though they took all of half an hour to choreograph.
