Cleaning an extra large home gets much easier when you develop a central vacuum system with the NuTone Central Vacuum 1040 Watt Power Unit (Bagged). Featuring a dual 2-stage motor that delivers 1040 air watts of power and 130-foot water lift, the VX1000 Power Unit is robust enough to cover up to 12, 000 square feet of space. As the heart of a NuTone Central Vacuum System, the Power Unit is a motor that wall-mounts away from the main living area, like in your garage or basement, and connects to special tubing run throughout the walls of your house. This tubing connects the motor to in-wall outlets installed at convenient locations in different rooms. All you carry around is the vacuum hose, which plugs into and receives power from these outlets. This bagged model collects debris in extra large 8-gallon 2-ply disposable filter bags, so you can make the most of your time when vacuuming. The motor's disposable collection bags feature HEPA (High Efficiency Particle Air) rated media, anti-microbial protection, and anti-stick technology to catch dust and bacteria without releasing it back into the air. Exposure to dust and dirt is also minimized by the bag's self-closing collar. Additionally, the motor features an easy access front-facing door to make changing bags simple. The control panel displays how much debris is in the bag via progressive indicator lights, which alert you when to change the bag. Typically, bags need changing only every six months. If you don't empty it, the unit will shut down automatically to avoid rupturing the bag. NuTone Central Vacuum Power Units provide superior soil removal, filtration, efficiency, and minimal carpet wear. The motor's internal sound suppression system also significantly reduces noise, so you won't hear it through the walls. Dual vacuum air intakes are located on both sides of the VX1000 for connection of the trunk lines, and for flexibility of installation locations. A 6-foot power cord is included for more convenience.
